NEW YORK, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- ESSENCE kicks off the holiday season and announces talent for the Essence Music Festival. Mary J. Blige, Queen of Hip-Hop Soul; Missy Elliot, who recently won her first American Music Award for favorite Rap/Hip-Hop artist; and R&B legendaries Gladys Knight, and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will join ESSENCE as it commemorates the 10th Anniversary of the Essence Music Festival. Additional performers will be announced in upcoming weeks. The Festival will take place over the 2004 Fourth of July weekend-July 2, 3 and 4, in New Orleans.
