Eastern Highlands Province dominates PNG Provincial Games.

18 NOVEMBER 2003 PORT MORESBY (Pacnews) --- Papua New Guinea's (PNG) Eastern Highlands made sporting history to finish on top of the table at the inaugural PNG Provincial Games, which ended on Saturday (15 Nov).

The hosts snatched the first spot with a haul of 55 medals including 27 gold, 18 silver and 11 bronze at the six-day event. Most of the medals were from individual events of boxing and athletics while a few came from team sports. The team was presented with a shield as the Games' inaugural winners.
