L. Faye Swanton

A graveside service will be held Sept. 27 for L. Faye Swanton of Grants Pass, formerly of Coos Bay and Leaburg, who died Sept. 9 at the age of 93. Her family chose not to list the cause of death.

Swanton was born May 10, 1910, in Black Rock to Edward and Lula Poiris LaBranch. She married Thomas Swanton II in Eugene on Aug. 19, 1937. He died Jan. 26, 1984.

She graduated from Myrtle Point High School and from Southern Oregon Normal School in Ashland. She taught school in Riverton, Langlois, Bridge ...
