Eugene's pitching staff continued to dominate Tri-City hitters and almost got a historic performance along the way.

The Emeralds were five outs away from their first no-hitter in 35 years before Ryan Fox hit a slow roller down the third-base line and beat the throw to first base for an infield single in the top of the eighth inning. The Dust Devils added another hit in the ninth before Eugene closed out a 5-1 victory over the Dust Devils on Tuesday evening at Civic Stadium.
