2003 NOV 10 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The anti-arrythymia drug digitalis impairs healthy neutrophil function, and could increase users' risk of infectious disease.

In a recent study, scientists in Brazil "evaluated the in vitro influence of digitalis and furosemide on the phagocytic function of neutrophils of healthy individuals."
