TRAGIC Luke Walmsley begged not to go to school on the day he was stabbed to death there because he feared being bullied, it emerged yesterday.

The 14-year-old's mother Jayne said: "We contacted the school in the morning because Luke was apprehensive about going." She claimed she was reassured it was safe for him to attend.

Last night, a boy of 15 was accused of Luke's murder. He will appear in a magistrates court today.

Earlier headmaster Gary Loveridge declined to answer questions about bullying, or confirm if he was aware of Luke's fears ...
