ALI ISMAIL ABBAS - the 12-year-old boy known as 'Orphan Ali' - became the face of Iraqi civilian suffering during the war against Saddam Hussein. His tear-filled eyes, horrifically burnt body and lost limbs sparked a wave of sympathy and concern for Ali, whose parents and more than a dozen close relatives died in an air strike in March.
