The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Even though people thousands of years ago did not have the machines and tools we have today, they were able to build some of the world's biggest and most beautiful structures. Herodotus, a Greek historian who was alive in 450 B.C., was the first known person to list manmade wonders. By the Middle Ages, many scholars had agreed on the top seven, which came to be known as the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. All were built between 2600 B.C. and 260 B.C. Most no longer exist, but tales of their magnificence still do.
