Visconti to join Salant. (Joseph Visconti to presidency of newly-formed men's wear group)

NEW YORK -- Joseph Visconti is joining Salant Corp. as president and chief executive officer of a newly formed men's wear group and a newly formed children's wear group.

Formerly a top executive at William Carter and Warnaco, Visconti is expected to join Salant in a couple of weeks.

The Salant men's wear group will consist of Manhattan Menswear Group, which manufactures men's dress shirts, neckwear and accessories under such labels as Nino Cerruti, John Henry and Liberty of London, and Thomson Co., manufacturers of men's dress and casual slacks. The Salant ...
