Rosario Ávalos Castañeda es la única persona de nacionalidad mexicana que aparece como víctima de la represión de la dictadura militar encabezada por Augusto Pinochet. Fue asesinada junto con su esposo, Bernardo Lejderman, cuando intentaba huir hacia Argentina. Sobrevivió su pequeño hijo, Ernesto, quien ahora --con 32 años-- se enfrenta al doble desafío de reconstruir su vida y lograr que se haga justicia.
