Shanghai axes 11 periodicals and restructures news publications

Shanghai. October 27. INTERFAX-CHINA - Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Press and Publication (SMBRP) has announced the termination of operation of 11 periodicals and the restructuring of a few dozen other newspapers and periodicals.

Names of the publications have been published on the SMBRP official website, cbj.sh.gov.cn. Operators of listed titles are required to stop their publication by the start of 2004, with subscriptions also to be aborted. Subscribers who have paid for 2004 issues will ...
