Dr. Bonnie A. St. Andrews, 58, died peacefully at home in Syracuse, on Tuesday. Dr. St. Andrews was the Distinguished Teaching Professor of Bioethics and Humanities at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she taught for 23 years. A graduate of St. Lawrence University, Dr. St.Andrews received her doctorate in American Literature from Syracuse University. A poet and a scholar, Dr. St. Andrews published widely; her works appear in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, JAMA, The Georgia Review, Commonweal, and Virginia Quarterly, among ...
