Employees in Lincoln Heights are taking a pay cut and village offices will be closed on Fridays as the tiny community struggles to make financial ends meet.

The village, which will have 15 employees when the dust settles, also is terminating the contracts for two contract police officers, and laying off one non-contract officer, leaving a nine-person force.
