Maybe I'm being too pessimistic. Late last year Moscow News ran the results of a poll conducted in September and October by the All-Union Center for the Study of Public Opinion. The same included 1,848 people in seventeen regions of the country. Although Western journalists are normally avid to quote Moscow News, for some reason this story did not get much coverage.
