A judge today threw out molestation charges against defrocked priest George Cooley, saying the statute of limitations has expired.
Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Richard Niehaus had told assistant prosecutor Mark Piepmeier at a hearing Wednesday that he disagreed with Piepmeier's interpretation of a law involving statutes of limitations.
