CHIVALRY landed an extraordinary success for racing's oldest firm at Newmarket yesterday but there were some heart-stopping moments before the judge's verdict confirmed that he had won the pounds 64,000 Tote Cambridgeshire.

Less than the width of trainer Sir Mark Prescott's cigar separated Chivalry and flying finisher Adiemus and in olden times this would have been a dead heat.
