If car columns included photographs of their authors, you'd understand why the notion of this writer driving a Corvette convertible is a strange one.

Corvettes are exciting and flashy. I strive to be plain - and have something of a knack for it.

My daily car is Honda Civic sedan with almost 200,000 miles on it.
