Author Walter Isaacson will be the keynote speaker at this year's Colorado Book Awards.

Isaacson is the author of The New York Times best seller, Benjamin Franklin: An American Life.

He also is the former head of CNN Television News, former managing editor of Time magazine, and current head of the Aspen Institute.

The 12th annual event is sponsored by the Colorado Center for the Book. This year's finalists are:
