The UJA-Federation of New York has created a new position of Westchester regional chair. Social services professional Froma Benerofe of Purchase will be the first to serve in that capacity.
Nell Tucker, chair of the 2002-2003 Westchester general campaign for UJA, said the regional position is important for the community.
