Mumbai to be made Philately capital.

Mumbai, Sep 27 (PTI) Efforts are on to establish Mumbai as the "Philately Capital" of the country, a senior official of Maharashtra Postal Circle said Saturday.
"Philately is not a mere hobby anymore, but an industry with an annual turnover of Rs 83 crore (Rs 830 million). With nearly 2,00,000 collectors, Mumbai is a major centre for philately in the country," Director, Postal Services, P N Ranjit Kumar, said.
