Sharp Corporation has produced a camera for mobile telephones and personal digital assistants (PDAs) which it claims is the smallest and thinnest on the market. The LZOP3721 CCD 1.1 megapixel camera module has a volume of just 1.44 [cm.sup.3] and is just 9.7 mm in thickness.

Sharp says that it will also simultaneously introduce the LZOP3726 with built-in macro functionality.
