Alpharma Inc. has announced an end to its suit against the Food & Drug Administration that involved the scope of claims FDA allowed PennField Oil Co. to make for its bacitracin methylene disalicylate product.
Both Alpharma and PennField market a bacitracin methylene disalicylate product for use in animal feed.
On Aug. 15, the U.S. District Court in Maryland signed an order ending the case brought by Alpharma and stating FDA's position with respect to specific approved and unapproved claims for PennField's product.
