After months upon months of searching for a new president at Des Moines Area Community College, members of the school's Board of Trustees were convinced they had found their man in David England. At 48, England was young and energetic, downright hip. And he had experience, having spent nearly 10 years at a community college in Texas. Most importantly, however, England had fresh ideas--something DMACC hadn't tasted since the early 1980s.
