Pitching horseshoes is just a hobby to some people. For two Chesapeake teens, it's become a serious competition that recently earned them state championships.

Amanda Tolbert, 14, and Mike Fencil, 17, competed Aug. 30 in the State Horseshoe Pitching Championships in Winchester, Va. Both placed first in the Class B category (ages 12 to 18), Amanda in the junior girls class and Mike in the junior boys division.
