Higher fuel prices, military demands still hit shipments
The availability of air-cargo space out of Los Angeles International Airport has yet to normalize following the tumult of the Persian Gulf War, according to freight forwarders interviewed last week.
Sharply higher jet fuel prices, and delays caused by the U.S. military taking over cargo planes, upset conditions beginning last August.
