Century City bounces back: shopping center business is up and looking rosy.

CENTURY CITY, Calif. -- The Century City Shopping Center may be the only one in California where the anchors are not the main attraction.

Unlike most shopping centers, where the department store anchors have the most visible locations, at Century City they are situated in the middle and at the rear. Neither -- The Broadway and Bullock's -- is visible from Santa Monica Boulevard, the main artery nearest the center. Adjacent office towers that dwarf the center cause an additional visibility problem.
