FRANKFORT -- State Treasurer Jonathan Miller, the only statewide officeholder seeking re-election this year, is something of a torch bearer -- the latest in a line of Democrats who have held the treasurer's post and every other state constitutional office since 1971.

Miller's Republican opponent, Adam Koenig of Villa Hills, is hoping to catch a Republican tide that would change that.
