NEW YORK-India, already the largest exporter of wool floor coverings to the United States, won't relinquish its leading position anytime soon.

Imports in U.S. dollars from India are growing at a faster rate than imports from China, Iran and Pakistan -- the second-, third- and fourth-largest exporters of rugs to the United States, respectively.
