Denver's City Council is too busy paring a $70 million deficit to consider a smoking ban at restaurants and bars, members said Wednesday.

While two council members would support a smoking ban at restaurants, most said a ban in the city would send customers to Arvada, Glendale, Aurora and elsewhere, hurting Denver's bar and eatery owners.
