MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan met this week with three diocesan priests who got more than 160 of their fellow priests to sign a letter in favor of optional celibacy.

"It was cordial, respectful," the Rev. Steven Dunn, one of the petition organizers, said of Tuesday's meeting in the archbishop's residence on the grounds of St. Francis Seminary.
