I received from a Russian-Jewish poet, Marc Mordukhovich, who lives in Detroit, a tape recording of a concert that took place at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, Russia, on Rosh Ha-Shanah Eve, September 29, 2000. It was the first Moscow performance of a new major piece for symphony orchestra by Isaac Schwartz. The composition was performed by a leading Russian symphony orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra under the baton of the distinguished conductor Pavel Sorokin.
