This is an especially witty, intelligent immigrant experience novel, written by a young woman who grew up in America and probably was ABCD (American Born Confused Desi) herself. It has a lot of pages for a YA novel and each page is filled with words, smallish print. Clearly Hidier loves words and knows how to use them lavishly.
