Maybe you heard the rumours. Amy Wadge was going to be replacing Cerys Mathews in Catatonia. In the end, there was no truth to the story, but she would have been the perfect choice, with her huskyedged voice, gifted songwriting skills and a soul steeped in her adopted Wales.

'It was a weird thing. A couple of years ago, before I was with my present manager Alan Robinson, I was with another label in Wales,' the 27-year-old singer-songwriter says.
