THE heartbroken family of drowned teenager Adam Shad yesterday wept: "Now he is free and that is what he wanted."

The disabled 15-year-old's body was found by underwater police in the River Falloch after a three- day search of Loch Lomondside.

He had gone missing wearing only his tracksuit bottoms while exploring countryside near the campsite where his family were staying.

Last night his mum, Jeanette, and stepdad, Terence Cooper, said their boy had struggled to cope since being knocked down last December.
