Yosemite National Park rewards its visitors in many ways. At the top of the list would be the opportunity to stand in Yosemite Valley _ with sheer granite cliffs rising as high as 3,000 feet on either side of you, with lush, green meadows covering the valley floor, with the Merced River running through the middle of it all, with waterfalls cascading from one end of the valley to the other _ and say that you are standing in one of the world's most beautiful places.
