CHINCOTEAGUE -- For onlookers, the sights and feelings of Chincoteague's annual Pony Round-Up and Swim bring Marguerite Henry's fictional children's book, ``Misty of Chincoteague,'' to life.
For Billy Beebe, a member of the family the book is based on, the festivities are a chance for him to relive his childhood.
``It'll bring back memories about how Dad and the saltwater cowboys would corral the horses,'' he said. ``I'm pretty sure Gramma and Grampa Beebe had no idea it would turn out the way it did.''
