SKC ENTERS 8MM MARKET

SKC America signaled its entry into the fast-growing 8mm market at the Winter CES Show with a new line of 8mm tape, available in four lengths--30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. The tape will be offered first to the consumer market, according to SKC national manager ED Havens, and orders are now being taken for the expected delivery in March. "We feel it's the right time to enter the market," said Havens, citing increased sales of 8mm camcorders and a rising pool of prerecorded titles for the format.
