Jul. 28--HARRISBURG, Ore.--Workers at St. Philbert's Hazelnuts south of Harrisburg haven't seen any sign yet of the dreaded Eastern filbert blight, but they're keeping their eyes peeled.

The dread disease, which destroys filbert trees -- or hazelnuts, if you prefer -- turned up this month in one orchard just north of Albany and another grove near Coburg.
