Dennis Guseman is busy building bridges in North County these days.

Not the brick-and-mortar kind. Instead, Guseman wants to span the reach between higher education and business in North County.

On July 1, Guseman took over as the new dean of the College of Business Administration at California State University, San Marcos.

The young business program has endured a rocky start. In its 13-year history, the college has had eight deans.

And last year, the CSU chancellor's office audited the college's MBA program and found school officials disregarded system policies ...
