Jul. 11--SALEM, Ore.--Despite months of brainstorming and bill-writing to save more than $100 million in Oregon Health Plan costs, lawmakers are learning that the savings are vanishing into thin air.

Newly calculated figures by state analysts show that instead of saving $100 million by pushing most Oregon Health Plan enrollees into managed care, such a move will actually cost the state $43 million over two years.
