Nashville firm signed to run Huron detox unit

In hopes of improving 44% occupancy rate at which its chemical dependency treatment program ran last year, Meridia Huron Hospital has contracted with Koala Centers, a firm which manages chemical dependency programs nationwide.

Chris Whisenant, Koala Centers' vice president of managed units, estimates that occupancy in Meridia Huron's chemical dependency program will rise to 70% within the coming year.
