MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District has grossly underreported the volume of raw sewage it has dumped since completion of its deep tunnel system nearly a decade ago, a consultant says.
A study by Milwaukee-based Triad Engineering Inc. said that reported volumes during three rainstorms that prompted dumping were off by an average of 72 percent.
