Soviet Official Reports Progress For Joint Ventures
WASHINGTON -- Outside oil and gas investors can draw some consolation from government reforms currently under way in the Soviet Union, according to a top geology ministry official from there.
Edouard Griaznov, special assistant to the Soviet Minister of Geology, said Wednesday that as of Dec. 31, 1990, individuals as well as companies can be joint venture participants.
A requirement that the minimum Soviet stake in such joint ventures be 51 percent also was removed at that time, with partnership ...
