Manila celebrates 432nd year today.(Main News)

Manila, the countrys capital and premier Christian city of Asia, celebrates its 432nd anniversary today.

To give Manilans and the nation the chance to celebrate through various ceremonies and events, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has issued Proclamation No. 389 declaring June 24 a special non-working holiday in Manila. Mayor Lito Atienza said the celebration has for its theme Maynila, Kay Sigla... Atin Siya!

Aklso celebrating its fiesta today is San Juan, Metro Manila, led by Mayor Joseph V. Ejercito.
