Cooper buys control

NOVI, Mich.-Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has increased its stake in Jin Young Standard Inc. to 90 percent from 49 percent and renamed it Cooper-Standard Automotive Korea Inc.

President Dug Soo Kim will continue to lead the company. Jin Young Chemical Co. and the former Standard Products Inc. established ties in the early 1980s and the joint venture in 1988.
