Peter Butler was born at home in Kent. It was February 16, 1933. Not quite 70 years later he died in Vancouver. It was November 25, 2002. In the words of Bill Vander Zalm: "It is only once in every few hundred years we find a Peter Butler. Like earthquakes, hurricanes and Fraser River floods, he was unpredictable, unforgettable and manageable only in very, very small doses."
