Chris Hannah recently toted his 6-month-old daughter, Katelyn, into Bill's Food Center in the village of Oregon.

And a friendly cashier observed, "She's out with Daddy today."

Hannah, who works nights as a police officer in the village, politely corrected the store employee.

"She's out with Daddy every day," he said.

Like a growing number of couples, Hannah and his wife, Tracy, a pediatric nurse at Dean Clinic, are both working and sharing the care of their first child. He stays home days and works a night shift, and she tends to Katelyn ...
