According to recent research from Germany, "Opioid effects on tumor growth have been a controversial topic of discussion.
"In the present study, morphine inhibited tumor cell proliferation at concentrations of greater than or equal to 10 m[micro]m. This was primarily caused by inhibition of cell cycle progression from G to S phase," wrote I. Tegeder and colleagues, University of Frankfurt.
