Maryland Governor Boosts Oversight of State Minority Business Office.

Jun. 13--Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. vowed yesterday to improve the performance of the state's troubled minority business program, appointing a commission that has six months to look at why its goals have never been met.

The 18-member commission, which will consist of elected officials and business owners from throughout the state, will look at ways to improve the accountability and compliance of the program.
