Also known as a film actor and gentleman farmer, Tim Grimm emerged on the folk scene a couple of years ago with a fine album called Heart Land. This second effort will cement his growing reputation as a fine songwriter rooted in the Woody Guthrie tradition. In fact, in addition, to his own songs, and one written by producer Jason Wilbur, Grimm offers excellent versions of Guthrie's "1913 Massacre" and Guthrie's adaptation of "Buffalo Skinners," the latter performed as a duet with Ramblin' Jack Elliott.
